Hope Now invests every dollar into relationship building, (re)introducing the Christian faith, (re)parenting, one-on-one mentoring, job readiness training, social enterprise, on-the-job development, job placement, employee/employer follow-up, and all of the details involved with lifting an at-risk young man from the nightmare of the streets into the American dream.
Hope Now’s small operating budget provides for its facilites, programs, and staff (all former gang mermbers and Hope Now graduates themselves). Hope Now is supported by a thriving community of concerned individuals, organizations, churches, businesses, and foundations.

A job and caring relationships can lift gang members from the streets into transformation, belonging and generosity.
Our county has one of the highest crime and poverty rates in the nation. One out of every five young men have ties to a gang in Fresno. For many, changing things seems hopeless. Hope Now was started to impact these young men and show them hope and possibility exist.
Over 2,000 young men in gangs who have criminal records have found jobs and transformed their lives through faith since 1993. Through God’s grace we discovered two main things these young men crave most.
A job and caring relationships can lift gang members from the streets into transformation, belonging and generosity. It’s simple, but harder than you think to accomplish.

Faith-Based Philosophy
The basis of Hope Now’s success is the Christian ethical value system. It just works! We are standing on 30 years of experience seeing the gospel transform men’s lives and those around him. It’s nothing short of miraculous in most cases.
Change in a young man’s life occurs only through long-term relationships guided by love, help, and understanding. It is God who models this for us in the Bible. Hope comes through realizing that He has a plan and a future for us.
As a Christian organization, we believe that spiritual hope and long-term life change is found in the wisdom and strength of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Hope Now is a Christian, faith-based emergency rescue team for young men (ages 16-39) involved in gangs or with criminal records.
Through caring and helping relationships and employment, we aim to lift gang members from the streets into a life of hope and success.
We are motivated by the command found in Scripture, to love our neighbor as ourselves. Through deed and word, we strive to present Jesus Christ as the hope for eternal life, Almighty God as the heavenly Father who cares far more than we do, and the Church as the loving family which will never abandon you.
We will not allow fulfillment of our own spiritual hopes for these men to become the condition of our help; We assist all young men who desire our help. To fall short of providing loving encouragement and gainful employment for any young man who sincerely desires our assistance in leaving the streets is to consign him to prison or death. God helping us, we will not fail to always offer life.
